THE electronic political science. Introduction to a new field of research
Abstract
In the recent First Uruguayan Congress of Political Science, a novelty was observed in terms of the national academic agenda. Beyond the seminars held by other institutions, for the first time there was a panel on "Politics and New Technologies" at the university level. Then a space was opened to this new arena of Political Science. But what is this new area of research? What are the new electronic social sciences dedicated to, and in particular, political e-science? This article describes this new field and present the journey that its birth and development have had in the region.
