La ciencia política electrónica. Introducción a un nuevo campo de investigación
Resumen
En el reciente Primer Congreso Uruguayo de Ciencia Política se observó una novedad en términos de la agenda académica nacional. Más allá de los seminarios realizados por otras instituciones, por primera vez existió en el ámbito universitario una mesa en “Política y Nuevas Tecnologías”. Junto a los ya tradicionales campos de investigación se abrió entonces un espacio a esta nueva arena de la Ciencia Política. Pero, ¿qué es esta nueva área de investigación? ¿A qué se dedican las nuevas ciencias sociales electrónicas y, en particular, la e- ciencia política? Este artículo describe este nuevo campo y presentar el recorrido que su nacimiento y desarrollo han tenido en la región.
