The Montevideo public opinion four years after the democratic restoration

Abstract

During the third week of December 1988 Consultores Asociados conducted a survey in Montevideo whose questionnaire was essentially the same as that used simultaneously in other surveys in the main cities of Argentina, Brazil and Chile. These surveys were conducted to comparatively study the democratic political culture in transitional situations -as is the case of the ongoing processes, although in non-identical circumstances and contexts, in all the countries of the Southern Cone of Latin America.
