Abstract

This thematic issue of the Uruguayan Journal of Political Science seeks contribute to knowledge about the political representation of gender in America Latina, focusing the focus of the analysis on the legislative field. The investigations collected here make new contributions for the understanding of gender differences in the legislative action of women and men, of political strategies and practices of the legislators in this area and also of the factors that contribute to the construction of a gender legislative agenda.
