Abstract

Those recurrent topics in Alexis de Tocqueville's work, su eh as: liberty and equality; social and political revolution, democracy and its evil trends; power separateness and territorial decentralization, are reviewed by the author of this article, being his aim to place the Frenchs's work among the pioneers of modern democracy.
