Politics and history in the work of Isaiah Berlin

At the beginning of the century it does not seem necessary to dwell too much on the importance of reflecting, both politically and philosophically, on the state of the art of contemporary liberal thought. In a first reading it turns out clear that in the last thirty years we say, to the mere effect of locating us historically, between the years 1970 and the year 2000 the place that liberalism occupies in Western political thought has gone through a significant transformation. Beyond the controversial notoriety reached by the so-called neo-liberalism in the field of economics and public macro-economic management, I believe that, during the period in question, we have witnessed a remarkable resurgence of liberal thought
