Francisco José Delich, a leader in the sowing of Social Sciences and in the institutional construction, died in Buenos Aires on May 20, at 79 years. I met him almost six decades ago at a convention of student centers that He organized in his native Cordoba. Since then we have been friends and companions of many adventures and university and political misadventures. (...)

    Senior Researcher of CONICET, Professor Emeritus of FLACSO Argentina, where he founded and directs
    the Master's Degree in Political Science & Sociology. Doctor of Political Science (University of California, Berkeley) under the direction of Sheldon Wolin and Hanna Fenichel Pitkin. Founder of the Race of Political Science in the UBA (1984). Professor at the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of the UBA, at the University of San Andrés and at the Foreign Service Institute. Konex Platinum Award in Political Sciences 1996. Author of several books, among others: The scientific reason in politics and sociology, Philosophy of political and social science, Political order and democracy, For a theory of democracy possible, Democracy & inequality, Life in contemporary society.
