Abstract

This article offers an overview of the basic political attitudes of Spaniards from the last years of the Franco regime to the present. Its objective is to analyze the elements of continuity and change that have occurred over these fifteen years. For this we will observe the attitudinal evolution of Spaniards in three groups of indicators. The first includes electoral indicators, to the extent that the five parliamentary elections held so far express fundamentally moderate and reformist ideological preferences. We will analyze below the orientations towards the political system, and we will end with the opinions about the democratic politics and the mechanisms of participation.
