Los recursos humanos en la gobernanza electoral: motivaciones de los miembros de mesa brasileños

Resumen

El trabajo tiene como objetivo estudiar las motivaciones de los miembros de mesa voluntarios para las elecciones. Presenta resultados de una encuesta en línea realizada con miembros de mesa voluntarios del municipio de Volta Redonda, en el interior del estado de Río de Janeiro. Además, busca trazar un historial sobre el proceso de consolidación de la Justicia Electoral brasileña, con énfasis en los recursos humanos electorales y se discute el papel de los voluntarios en los servicios electorales como una dimensión de la gobernanza electoral, la dimensión personal (los recursos humanos). Los resultados indican que las motivaciones intrínsecas (internas), como el deber cívico y el deseo de participar en el proceso democrático, parecen superar las motivaciones extrínsecas (externas), tales como beneficios materiales.
